What I would like to see is the details of the chronicle broken up into "eras" for each of the Princes who held Praxis during the events and for the important events to be made available as a player & storyteller reference tool.

The following is a brief synopsis of what I remember about the events of "An Oracle of Information" - some of it might be out of order, skewed, or unflattering towards particular characters. For that, I apologize. If more precise information can be provided, I would greatly appreciate it.

For over 100 years Omaha had been ruled betwixt the claws of Chhaya, a Gangrel member of the Circle of the Crone who worshipped the Indian goddess of destruction, Khali. But nothing lasts forever. A radical influx of Kindred upset the balance of the food chain. Chhaya remained alive, but either uninterested or unable to keep her claim to the city. Derrick Spectre was not the first one to sit upon the throne that Chhaya vacated, but he was the first one to do it with any degree of success since Chhaya's nights as Prince. Through backroom deals he was somehow handed the city on a silver platter. It is rumored that Nadya Komestkya played an integral part of this. Although Derrick was an Invictus and a Mekhet he surrounded himself with a court comprised entirely of Gangrel, but with vastly different covenant loyalties.

Several dilemmas were brought to the city in the nights to follow, not the least of which was a touched Kindred who embraced a “family” of vampires to satisfy the childhood tantrums of an accidental-death-turned-undead. Nicknamed “the Babymaker” it proved a substantial test of the new Prince's determination. When it came down to it though, no Kindred would do more damage than his own childe, Janos Kerensky, who threw a wrench in the works.

By manipulating the powers-that-be he began a chain of events which threatened the Masquerade. Ultimately, his betrayal was found out and he paid the price for his decisions. However, the presence of these vampires had drawn increasingly more and more attention while vampires strove to dig their claws into more aspects of human society. A society of hunters calling themselves the Sons of Night began to encroach upon the places that the Kindred gathered. They launched themselves at the blood-thirsters and were able to claim several victims in the vulnerable days that followed.

Several of the Sons of Night's operations were discovered and foiled, but there seemed no end to their fervor. Derrick Spectre took things into his own hands. When he next learned of the location of a stronghold for the hunters, he brought propane tanks and set the building they were in ablaze. Derrick was thought to be caught up in the blaze himself. Before the Prince's unfortunate mishap he left a will with one of his thralls which named a Kindred whom previously served as his harpy, Anna NicQuinn, as the predecessor.

The shadow that Derrick Spectre cast was a long one that Anna NicQuinn at first seemed eager to stand in. Threats from the Sons of Night kept coming. They grew exponentially and their attacks came more frequently until the organization began to fall in on itself. Anna NicQuinn kept her court positions sparce and fought against these hunters headlong. She kept her battles secret from most of the Kindred of the city. They eventually quit giving her the respect that she had assumed since being named Prince and leaning towards her second-in-command, Margaret Mattox.

Eventually Margaret Mattox challenged Anna NicQuinn for the right to rule the city. The challenge was resolved with a show of support, an unlikely example of an Invictus power struggle. Only a small number of Kindred supported Anna NicQuinn and the title of Prince passed between them without so much as a drop of bloodshed.

Nearly as soon as Margaret Mattox was named Prince her sovereignty was challenged. This time, by a Kindred who requested a private audience with her under the guise of becoming the Primogen for the Unbound. A struggle ensued in which Margaret was beaten into torpor and the assailant managed to escape. She was quickly revived, but at a blow to her popularity with the other Kindred.
